Ready to learn how to make compelling videos using the camera you always have with you? Des Moines Video Workshop will teach you the basics of shooting quality video as well as how to edit that video with your smartphone.

Attendees will work in teams to shoot and edit at least two videos during the day-long workshop. We will use the free app Videoshop to edit videos.

The class will be taught 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2019, and it will be held in room 124B in Meredith Hall on Drake University’s campus.

Cost is $100 if you purchase through Oct. 4. After that, tickets go up to $150.

About the instructor

Chris Snider is an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Drake University in Des Moines. He teaches classes on social media strategy, web design and multimedia. He teaches an intro to multimedia class for first-year students to help them understand how to take great photos and make quality videos.
