About the social media workshop

Reaching your customers on social media continues to be more and more of a challenge for most businesses and organizations. This hands-on workshop will help you create a strategy for taking your social media to the next level in 2020.

You’ll build personas for your ideal social media followers and build a strategy for reaching those people. You’ll take stock of what you are doing now and how well your posts are performing. You’ll learn about latest trends in social media and decide where you should be focusing your efforts.

You’ll learn about proven strategies to increase your organic reach. And you’ll create a plan for what you will post during the first month of 2020.

About the instructor

Chris Snider is an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Drake University in Des Moines. He teaches classes on social media strategy, web design and multimedia. He teaches an intro to multimedia class for first-year students to help them understand how to take great photos and make quality videos.
